RizLearn (“we,” “us” or “our”) operates https://rizlearn.com and the RizLearn school management platform. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it and your rights regarding that data.

1. Data We Collect

  • Account information: name, email address, school name and role — provided when you sign up or book a demo.
  • Student records:attendance, grades, assignments and fee data — held on behalf of your school and subject to your school's own privacy policies and applicable laws (including FERPA for US schools, GDPR for UK schools).
  • Usage data: pages visited, features used and device information — collected via server logs and Google Analytics (anonymised IP).
  • Contact form submissions: name, email, phone and message content — used only to respond to your enquiry.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide, maintain and improve the RizLearn platform.
  • To respond to support requests and sales enquiries.
  • To send service-related notifications (never marketing without consent).
  • To comply with legal obligations (FERPA, GDPR).

3. Cookies

We use essential cookies for session management and Google Analytics cookies (with anonymised IP) for aggregate traffic measurement. No advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels are used. You can disable non-essential cookies via your browser settings at any time.

4. FERPA (US Schools)

RizLearn acts as a “school official” under FERPA, processing student education records solely on behalf of and under the direction of the educational institution. We do not disclose student data to third parties without the school's written consent, except as required by law.

5. GDPR (UK / EU Schools)

For schools in the UK and EU, RizLearn acts as a data processor. We process personal data only on the instruction of the school (the data controller). A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available upon request at hello@rizlearn.com.

6. Data Retention

School data is retained for the duration of the subscription and for 30 days after termination, after which it is securely deleted. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months.

7. Data Security

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Role-based access controls restrict data to authorised users. Every sensitive action is audit-logged.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data. To exercise any right, contact us at hello@rizlearn.com.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
